The film added Rs 12.50 crore nett to its collection on Monday and the total business now stands at a whopping Rs 180 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. If it keeps going at this speed, then ‘The Kashmir Files’ will beat Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ and will emerge as the highest grosser post the pandemic.
‘The Kashmir Files’ is enjoying an extraordinary response in the North as Delhi / UP added over Rs 50 crore nett ot the film’s total. This movie may emerge as the highest grossing film in history after ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ in the Delhi / UP circuit. At the end of its second week, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is expected to add Rs 115 crore nett to its total, which will be 20 per cent more than its first week collection. Going by the current upward trend, this film may touch the 300 crore nett mark. However, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has faced slight competition from ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ last week and will have to battle it out in theatres with biggie ‘RRR’ releasing this week. ‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990s.The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles.
